"Competing at the highest level is not about winning.
It's about preparation, courage, understanding and nurturing your people, and heart.
Winning is the result." (Joe Torre)
Mr. Adam is a 1st degree black belt with a 1st Dan Kukkiwon Certification from World Taekwondo Federation. He has trained in various martial arts for many years and was instrumental in building one of the largest martial arts schools in California as the school's Lead Instructor. How did this all start? By enrolling his daughter in Taekwondo classes. On a daily basis, he brought her to class and just watched her "from the outside." An opportunity came along for him to join his daughter on the mat; he did, and martial arts quickly became one of his passions in life. One of his greatest moments was earning his Black Belt alongside his daughter: "There is no greater pleasure than training with your child and forming that bond. I gained a lot of respect for my child after I got on the mat and was doing all the kicks and punches she was doing. It made me think of how truly brave she is."
Mr. Jason has enjoyed numerous physical activities throughout his life. Whether it was playing soccer, track and field, hiking, trail running, swimming, or surfing, Mr. Jason enjoyed pushing himself physically. He started taking martial arts classes after his daughter, Ventura, had been enrolled for a few months. The moment he got on the mat, he was "hooked!" Mr. Jason has been a martial arts instructor for 5 years and earned his 1st Dan Kukkiwon Certification from World Taekwondo Federation. He continues his own training in the fighting arts of Muay Thai, Boxing, and Krav Maga. "Martial Arts helps students internalize what it means to have a fighting spirit, not just physically, but mentally and spiritually as well."
Miss Happy believes "Families who kick together, Stick together!" After Ventura and Mr. Jason started taking classes, Happy soon followed. Happy earned her 1st Dan Kukkiwon Certification from World Taekwondo Federation and continues to train with the family. "I enjoy teaching martial arts, especially to the younger kids, because they are fearless and they remind me to just give it my all in whatever I do!"
